What would we do without adhesives in our crafts?!

I know that's a silly question, but wanted you to realize we always 

need more adhesive and adhesive choices. (How else would

 we create layers?!) Today and tomorrow, Saturday August 12 

and Sunday August 13, 2023, in Texas is Tax Free Holiday 

for school supplies.  Stampin' Up! wants to help with this and 

sends out a list every year with the states, dates and what items qualify 

in each state for these tax free holidays.  That being said, adhesives are

the majority of the list.  That would include things like Tear n Tape, 

Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Seal+, refills for those 2, glue dots and 

mini glue dots, dimensionals, dimensional strips and sheets, glue, & 

fine tip glue.  Markers, watercolor pencils and alcohol blends combos qualify 

too, but adhesives are really important and you don't want to run out of them!

Since I've last published a blog post, I've celebrated 20 years of being an independent Stampin' Up demonstrator!  I held an event with a few stampers who enjoyed the projects and the camaraderie and the creativity.  The next day I challenged myself to stamp with 20 new to me stampers.  As of August 3rd, I accomplished that with one to spare!  Here are a few of the new to me stampers and their cards/gift-e-lopes:

Now if you were paying attention before all these beautiful people with their projects showed up, you "heard" me "say" gift-e-lope.  For those who haven't been stamping with me, or don't remember, a gift-e-lope is a card/gift wrap/gift holder all in one AND made with .....

an ENVELOPE!  It's a lot of fun to make and receive, cuz there's always a gift inside (if you do it right).  It's one of the first projects I learned how to make 20 years ago and it's been said that when I say "gift-e-lope" I sparkle!  💖

World Card Making Day is Saturday! - contact me to plan a card making session

 World Card Making Day is this Saturday!  Oct. 3rd, 2020.  But in these crazy times, not sure how to go about scheduling a card making session.  Would love to stamp with you and help you to make some needed birthday, anniversary, thank you or thinking of you cards.  Please contact me to schedule a session either virtually or in person at a location of your choice.

Another way to do the thank you one is to use the Stamparatus.  It's a great tool for placement of stamps and repeating placements to make multiple cards the same.

Craft kits for sale - subscribe

  

Here's a preview of the kit for September.  But if you're not sure if you want to subscribe, I have 3 extra kits from previous months for sale.  $22 each.  Everything included in the box to create the projects they designed or you can use the stamp set, ink spot(s) and supplies to design your own projects. 

In these crazy times, it's nice to be able to have something creative to do and then to share it with others.  Purchase one or more of these kits and then sit down to make the projects by yourself or with family.  Then share them with family not close by or with service personnel you interact with.  Let them know you appreciate them.

Happy Fourth of July - Let's get to scrapbooking!

Ways to remember different events in our lives, this form of memory keeping is a way for many generations to enjoy these memories.  It helps if you remember to journal them and put dates and names on them.  The first one is from the time before we were married, and second one is from an early stage in our marriage when we had 2 young sons who enjoyed Disneyland.  Now looking back at these scrapbook pages, I can enjoy where I was and where I've been and maybe where we're going.

For those who don't want to make cards or 3D giftables, this paper crafting project can be very satisfying and using our wonderful cardstock, inks and designer/patterned papers are great for doing this.  Now is a great time to get your supplies for scrapbooking from my website.  For every $50 worth of supplies (before shipping and tax) order, you earn a $5 coupon to spend next month.

Another way to scrapbook is to use a lunchbag folded in half and decorated with patterned papers and sentiments and pictures.  You get little pockets to stow keepsakes in.  It can be closed by ribbons to tie it shut.  This is a great project for kids to do.  Each of these lunch bags can be attached to many others to make a thicker scrapbook.
